|Angel Fire loves snowboarders hosting a 400 foot long half-pipe. Considered the southwest's premier year-round alpine destination. Super busy with over 150,000 skier visits in 2004-2005. Terrain difficulty as follows: beginner 28%, intermediate 50%, and advanced 22%. Two terrain parks, Lowrider Park for learning and Liberation Park with the mombo half-pipe (not a Superpipe). Snowmaking on half the mountain with over 22 kilometers of nordic trails. New for 2005 is Glade Skiing over 8 acres of snow. One of the most active Winter calendars for special events, competitions, and more. Angel Fire defines the word resort and is only getting bigger. They occupy roughly 90 degrees of mountain side and bottom bowl for a diverse range of sun chasing. Too big to be warm but too small to be ignored. Diverse range of activities like snowmobiling, sleigh rides, ice fishing and more.
